Hashish (often called hash) is a concentrated form of cannabis made by collecting and compressing the resin (trichomes) from the marijuana plant. These trichomes contain high levels of THC, the compound responsible for the psychoactive effects.

Hash is created by separating the sticky resin glands from the cannabis flower. This can be done in different ways:
Dry sifting – rubbing dried cannabis across fine screens to collect kief, then pressing it.
Hand-rubbing – rubbing fresh cannabis buds between hands to gather resin (traditional in places like India/Nepal).
Ice-water extraction – using cold water and sieves to separate trichomes (bubble hash).
Once collected, the resin is press into blocks, balls, or slabs.
Depending on the method and origin, hash can appear:
Soft and sticky (like Nepalese or Afghani hash)
Hard and brittle (like Moroccan hash)
Dark brown, golden, or black in colour
Hash is usually:
Smoke in a joint with tobacco or weed
Used in a pipe or bong
Vaporise
Infuse in food (edibles)
Because hash is a concentrated form of cannabis, the effects can be stronger than regular weed:
Relaxation
Euphoria
Increase appetite
Strong body high
